I demoed Tony's little 115l Starboard "S-Type" today. You see I told him I wanted a new board in the spring, so that's it I'm commited now! It goes really well and likes being powered up, and carving is dead easy. Underpowered it tends to luff a bit too much being only 242 long, and at 115l it is well and truly a FAT board. But is is easy to sail. I couldn't make it jump very easily - don't know why though.

There were only 5 or so out on the water. Usual crowd Mr "Drysuit" go any conditions, BEFS, Mike made a starring appearance that lasted about 10 mins, Mike M put in a brave the cold. Colin went out on his bike as it's a warmer form of excitment I think.

I didn't suffer too much in the cold. I kept putting my fingers in and out of the gloves to keep warm, and stayed dry - mainly. The wind was good to start, then it fell off and went variable by about 1pm when it started to cloud over.

Not very exciting. Gybes felt solid though.
